The Sounds of the Season [Part 8/8]

Christmas time is upon us (and yes… I said CHRISTMAS not “holiday”). In celebration of this joyous time of the year, I present to you an 8-part musical series exploring “The Sounds of the Season”. Oh yes. There’s nothing like Christmas music to get you in the Christmas spirit.

First and foremost, this is not considered a Christmas song (at least that I know of), but when I listen to it, I can’t help but imagine a dying world making the same request to God even during the time of Jesus’ actual birth. As this 8-part series ends, listen to the words of this song and enjoy.

HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Thank you so much for your readership throughout the year and know that there are more blogs to come in 2014.

When I was coming up in school, our school superintendent always wanted the choir to perform this song at the Christmas program. I never understood why, but as I’ve gotten older and seen how things are in the world, I think I get it now. Check it out and enjoy.

OK, OK, OK… I know we don’t typically think of Christmas and “sexiness” in the same sentence, but apparently my man Isaac Hayes did. It’s soulful… and… well… check it out and enjoy (and try not to procreate).

I heard this song some years ago on one of those internet radio stations (before Pandora became THE thing). This big band rendition is going to blow your mind. Check it out and enjoy.
