Yours To Spend Or Yours To Waste

American entrepreneur and motivational speaker Jim Rohn said that “Time is more valuable than money, you can get more money, but you can not get more time.” Powerful words to take in. How valuable is your time? How much value do YOU place on your time? What do you spend your time doing? Is it constructive? Is it destructive? Or worse, are you just killing it? Time is valuable and you don’t want to wake up one day to realize that you’ve been wasting it on futile efforts because you won’t be able to recover it. As a musician, you want to make sure that your time is being used wisely. You want to make sure that, in conjunction with your regular life, you make the time for your musical life. Develop a schedule for practicing and studying music because time not spent on either one will show in the final performance or product. Choose to spend your time wisely because you don’t want to fall into the trap of doing a lot but accomplishing a little. That’s not good for business.

What do you think? Shared wisdom makes us all stronger.
